Happy and Healthy New Year

Fighting with some upper respiratory yuck myself.  Wanting to go to our friends' house for New Years eve to meet the new baby, but worried about exposing him to germs.  Thinking we might go and I might wear a mask - dunno for sure yet. A lot will depend on how wiped out I feel later today.

Really wanting to bead - hoping I can find the energy. This upper respiratory thing has me zonked. The weather doesn't help either - its cold and drizzling. And all three dogs are passed out on the couch. As usual, Fred (the basset hound) looks too darn cute and he is snoring to boot!

We didn't go.  Just rested and watched the ball drop. It was a nice relaxing evening with my wife and our dogs.  New York was depressing without Dick Clark though - it just wasn't the same. I grew up watching him every New Years Eve.  Even though I lived in NY I only went to Times Square once in person. New Yorkers don't really go down there - mostly its tourists. I've never been a fan of big crowds. 

I went to the doctor this morning and thankfully its just a really bad cold and bad allergies.  Still feel rotten, but I am very thankful that I don't have an infection and I don't need antibiotics. Gonna rest today - bead if I can find the energy - and just generally concentrate on getting better so I can go see that baby!  I am looking forward to a terrific 2013 both personally an professionally.  I hope everyone who reads this blog has a wonderful 2013 filled with health, happiness, love and prosperity.
